Don't forget Winona when heading towards Flagstaff on Interstate-40. Just don't expect too much after leaving the highway. While Route 66 may have passed through a town here, very little other than a few houses and wildflower-filled fields remain. Yet, if you have been on the highway for a while, Winona sure would make a good place to get out and stretch your legs, maybe even have a picnic in the surrounding fields.
